この製品は、アメリカンビンテージスウェットパーカーをイメージソースに、オールドアメリカンスタイルのクラシックなボディパターンディテールを踏襲しつつも、バズリクソンによってタウンユース用にアレンジされた無地プルオーバーパーカーです。ミディアムウェイトの裏起毛スウェット生地、脇に縫い目のない丸胴ボディ仕様、クラシックスタイルな袖口と裾の長めのリブ、二本針縫製などヴィンテージスタイルの要素を再現しつつも、現代的なシルエットを取り入れ、カジュアルのテイストをプラスした街着として洗練されたファッショナブルなデザインにカスタマイズされています。

素材はコットン100%の、厚すぎず、薄すぎない、適度な肉厚の裏起毛スウェット(トレーナー)生地です。糸本来の風合いをかもしだした古き良きアメリカの乾いた匂いが伝わってくるようなドライな質感と織りムラ感のある柔らかな感触の生地です。裏起毛なので保温性もあり、しっかりとした着心地と、しなやかな柔らかさを兼ね備えた生地です。

この製品は、「丸編み機」によって編まれたスウェットパーカーです。丸編み機は、生地を筒状に編み上げる旧式編み機です。生産効率は低いのですが、低速でゆっくりと編み立られ、余分なテンションがかからずに、糸そのものの柔らかい風合いを生かすことができる希少な編み機です。低速で編まれた生地は、温もりのある味わい深い表情に加え、しっかりとした着心地としなやかな柔らかさを兼ね備えています。そして、丸編み機で編まれたこのパーカーの最大の特徴が、ボディの脇部に縫い目がない、いわゆる「丸胴」に仕上がる仕様です。現在は量産を重視した高速の編み機が主流になり、丸編み機は時代遅れの技術とされつつあります。しかし、丸編み機で編まれた生地には、量産重視の高速編み機では出せない独特の風合いと時代を超えうるタフネスが宿っています。あえて生産効率の低い丸編み機で編むことで、空気を含んで柔らかくも、コシのある強い丸胴生地に編み上がります。また、はぎ目のない服なので、洋服の縫い目が肌に当たらず着心地も良い利点もあります。

また、このパーカーにはワンウォッシュ加工がかけられています。そのため、程よいオールド感とヴィンテージ感が生まれ、クラシックな印象を与えるスウェットシャツに仕上げられています。ワンウォッシュですでに生地の縮みが発生しているので、洗濯後の縮みが少なくサイズ感が安定しているのも利点のひとつです。

フードは生地を2枚使用して適度なボリュームがあります。フードにはドローコード(フード開口調節用の紐)を通す穴は付いていますが、邪魔にならないようにあえてドローコードは通されていません。

ウエストのポケットはカンガルーポケットです。左右は貫通していますので、物を入れる役割ではなく手を温めるためのハンドウォーマータイプです。

This plain pullover hoodie is made in Japan and produced by Buzz Rickson (Buzz Rickson's Buzz Ricksons) from Toyo Enterprises. The Buzz Rickson label, a division of Toyo Enterprise in Japan, is famous around the world for its expertly-crafted authentic military clothing. The pattern construction of this plain hoodie is modeled after classic-style loop-wheeling hooded sweatshirts (old military training hoodie), but this pullover hoodie is outfitted with Buzz Rickson's brand own detailing and design in a contemporary approach with a modernize fit. With the inspiration from classic clothing (sportswear style with military influences), this Buzz Rickson hoodie has been re-designed for a more casual look and fashion purpose. Fabric : 100% cotton medium weight sweatshirt fabric with a soft brushed interior backing. It has a slightly slubby and rugged texture on the face of the fabric. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. This sweatshirt is washed once for a fashionable vintage feel and look. Pre washed, minimal shrinkage.

Body : Tubular construction (No side seam construction). Made on vintage looms which knit the fabric in a seamless continuous tube known as loop-wheeling. The fabric is produced with minimal tension during knitting process and lack of seams means the garment will keep its shape through wear and washing. It combines durability and the natural softness for comfort. Vintage looms are special machines that are able to knit a perfect tube, but they can only knit one set diameter (size) per loom, so a loom for each size is required. This is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments.

Closure : Pull on closure. Pull-over.

Storage : This hoodie has a kangaroo pocket (handwarmer pocket), with diagonal openings for easy insertion of hands. The pocket sits on the lower front section of the hoodie. The pocket is open on either side. *Note this pocket has wide openings on either side, through which belongings may fall out of.

Hood : A hood is made from two layers of fabric for durability. The hood has eyelets(eyelet holes), but drawstring is not included, allowing for maximum movement. This isn't an error - this is how a hoodie should be.
